Here come the Italians. The recent opening in Shanghai of the Plaza 66 showroom, featuring the work of many of Italy＇s top design firms, is indicative of how the nation that has been the world leader in design for decades is bringing new ideas and new energy to the Chinese scene. Now, unexpectedly, the opening of the Chinese housing market to private development is set to further magnify the presence of Italian design in Shanghai, in China, in Asia at large.
