Clinical application and potential of TGFβ

转化生长因子β（ＴＧＦβ）是多功能的细胞因子，参与了体内多种病理和生理过程，并在创伤愈合、免疫抑制等方面具有重要的临床应用前景。局部或全身应用的ＴＧＦβ已被用于软组织修复、骨修复和缺血损伤修复，全身应用的ＴＧＦβ还可用于自身免疫疾病的防治；而ＴＧＦβ拮抗剂则可望应用于慢性炎性纤维化、艾滋病和其他疾病。该文结合ＴＧＦβ的生理学作用，综述了ＴＧＦβ的临床应用及其前景，并指出了存在的问题。

As a multifunctional cytokine, TGFβ is involved in many pathological and physiological processes in vivo, and has important clinical potential in many aspects such as wound healing, immunosuppression. While locally or systemically administered TGFβ has found application in repair of soft tissue, bone and ischemic injury. Systemically adminstered TGFβ can also be used to prevent autoimmune disease, and TGFβ antagonists have potential for chronic inflammatory fibrosis, AIDS and other disorders. On the basis of its physiological actions, this review focuses on clinical application and potential of TGFβ, and also its problems.
