介绍了曲轴设计专家系统（CDES）的建造及其结构与特点，讨论了本系统中的知识获取与知识表示、推理机的构造（正向推理与反向推理）、设计规律自动总结、参数化绘图、专家系统与CAD的集成等。

This paper presents the structure and features of a Crankshaft Design Expert System (CDES). The knowledge acquisition and representation,construction of inference mechanisms (including forward and backward chaining),automated summary of design regularity, parameterized drawing, the integration of ES and CAD are discussed.
