摘要
研究以分类组织策略为依据为依据,使用自行设计的10个专题训练材料,对指定范围的高年级学生分别进行了单词强化训练,并记录、分析了整个过程。结果表明:在训练材料丰富和训练方法多样的前提下,单词分类组织策略的训练能加强高年级英语学习者对大量英语单词的短时记忆,随着大学高年级的英语和非英语学习者通过短期强化训练,词汇量迅速扩大。分类组织策略强化英语词汇对于英语专业写作教学和非英语专业考试前的词汇总复习,有着积极的意义,值得在词汇教学中不断尝试。
This study deals with an intensive training in English vocabulary classification strategy, respectively carried out among 90 junior English majors and 30 senior non-English majors, by using a set of self-designed subject materials of 10 topics. This paper notes down the whole process in these two groups of trainees, and makes an analysis of the process and the results. The analysis shows that English vocabulary classification strategy, complemented with a rich variety of training materials and aided with various proper teaching methods, can stimulate advanced English learners to memorize for a certain period enormous vocabulary group by group. Those college English learners enlarge their English vocabulary quickly after a ten-topic intensive training. The study makes it clear that intensive training in English vocabulary classification strategy is especially helpful to the majors in their English writing course and the non-majors in their general revision for important English examinations. It deserves further trying in college English vocabulary teaching.
