Planning of Hong Kong for the 21st Century

本文主要介绍了近期香港的城市规划及公共政策研究方面的动态及其对未来香港发展的对策．近期进行的“全港发展策略检讨”及“长远往房发展策略检讨”已不再囿于香港这一狭隘的范围，而将香港与未来整个中国大陆结为一体统等研究。同时环境问题亦日益受到重视。政府建议进行的“面向21世纪的可持续发展”研究正在筹划之中．这些举措对未来香港的发展将具有积极的意义。

This paper introduces the recent actions of urban planning and public policies in Hong Kong which are the response for the future development of Hong Kong. The recent TDSR (Territorial Development Strategy Review) and the Review on Long-term Housing Strategy are the positive ways to look beyond Hong Kong not only in the territorial limits, but also the integration of regional economic eatity of China's Mainland.Meanwhile, environmental sustability is now drawn more attention with rapid economic growth in Hong Kong.The ' Study on Sustainable Development for the 21st Century' is now suggested by the governmeat and is to be organized by professional consultants. All these actions will be positive for the fufore developmeat of Hong Kong.
