The paper analyses the mechanism of silicon oxidation losses in smelting low carbon FeCr with electro-silicothermic process and the effect to technical and economic benefit. It also points out that increasing silicon oxidation losses can increase output, reduce electrical power consumption, raise producing efficiency and has a certain actual sense.
