The extreme strategies in translation have their roots in and work for essentialist cultural identity. Hybrid strategy of foreignization and domestication is summoned by the requirement of establishment of fluid and compound cultural identity in the age of globalization. To implement this strategy, a translator must recognize the openness of cultural identity and base his translation strategy on careful analysis of contemporary cultural context.
