摘要
通过对我国西南地区不同行业的公司英语文本进行调查,发现各家公司的英译文本良莠不齐。对收集到的误译较为突出的材料,加以客观的点评,并提出一些适当的改进建议,旨在呼吁人们关注企业的对外宣传工作,加强应用翻译理论与实践的深入研究,从而更好地为经济发展服务。
Investigation shows that there are great differences in the quality of English translations of various company introductions in Southeast China. Based on the analysis of the errors collected from the web page materials, this essay, from the perspective of translation criticism, offers some insightful comments and advice on how to improve the English translations of internet brochures. It aims to increase the awareness to the importance of foreign enterprise publicity, and calls for further investigation in the field of applied translation theory and practice.
