This paper introduces the principles and methods of the land electrotelluric lithological detection technique. Through examples of geothermal exploration, it focuses on applications of this technique to the aquiferous property evaluation of geothermal reservoirs and in guiding the drilling operations. The paper also presents the evaluation and conclusion for the effectiveness of the land electrotelluric lithological detection technique in geothermal exploration.
