CTP （Computer to Plate） technology is applied quickly and broadly, which has become the current trend in the graphic arts industry. CTP pushes, to a certain extent, the development of digital proofing technology. The digital proofing devices have become the CTP essential kit equipment. In this article, CTP technology and the relationship between CTP and digital proofing are discussed, and the application of the digital proofing is explored theoretically and technologically. Furthermore, under the CTP environment, the ability to imitate the result of offset printing by the digital proofing device, the general use of digital proofing technology, are analyzed and discussed in detail.
