The production situation, trading, import and export of China＇ s dyestuff and organic pigment in the first half of 2007 were introduced. The output of dyestuff and organic pigment was 378 thousand tons and 96 thousand tons respectively, with an increase rate of 10.9% and 12.6% correspondingly compared with the same period of previous year. The exporting and importing volume of dyestuff and organic pigment was 173.2 thousand tons and 96.8 thousand tons respectively, with an increase rate of 11.74% and 13.9%. Finally, based on the related data and industry situation probe the analysis and comparison were conducted, the development trends of dyestuff and organic pigment were also forecasted, and some suggestions were put forward.
