共产党服务人民的思想其本质主要体现在两个方面:一是政治原则。二是道德规范,它是政治观和道德观的统一。在社会主义市场经济条件下共产党服务人民,被历史地赋予了以下两大新的特征即服务者与服务对象的一体化和服务人民成为国家社会的制度化特征。服务人民必须爱国、爱党、爱社会主义、爱人民,充分尊重人民群众的首创精神,恪守高尚的职业道德情操,保持居安思危的忧患意识和艰苦奋斗的昂扬斗志,扎实学习本领,努力增长才干,坚持人民的利益高于一切,从自己做起,从点滴做起,并讲究效益。
