The goal of data warehouse supported by massive data storage is to achieve the highly effective policy-making depending upon the data mining technology and the data analysis tool. Through data pick-up, data mapping and encapsulation from various data dispersed on the network, the virtual database presents the virtual tables to the application program. The paper introduces the virtual database technology and its composition data pool, data warehouse, application server, Web server and client functions. The system structure of data warehouse based on the virtual database is also described.
