定性仿真是以非数字手段处理信息输入、建模、行为分析和结果输出等仿真环节,通过定性模型推导系统的定性行为描述,是处理不完备信息的有效方法。文章介绍了定性仿真产生的背景、定性仿真的理论流派、应用及发展。

Qualitative Simulation, which is a non -numeric measure, is employed to process inputting information, modeling, behaviors analysis and outputting results. The description of qualitative behaviors can be generated by qualitative modeling. QS makes it feasible to deal with incomplete information effectively. In this paper, the birth of QS is reviewed. Then many genres about QS theory and technology are introduced. Finally, the application and development of＇QS are described.
