青年发展与社会发展紧密相关,从角色概念意义上看,可将青年分为角色型、逍遥型、脱离型和反抗型四种类型这有利于进一步体现青年与社会的相互关系。不同类型的青年表现出不同的青年文化类型,这是社会在青年身上的显现,也是青年本身影响着社会变化的反映。角色型青年对社会现有体制框架起维护和发展功能,逍遥型和脱离型青年对社会发展起缓和紧张的安全阀功能,反抗型青年的功能是对主流社会文化批判性的补充和提升。

The youth are closely connected with social development. With the view of role conception, the youth can be classified into four types, such as the role type, the unfettered type, the isolation type, and the resistance type, which is helpful to further demonstrate the relationship between the youth and the society. Different youth embody different cultural types, which is the reflection of the society showed on the youth, and is the reflection that the youth themselves influence social changes. The youth of the role type maintain and promote the current social system; the youth of the unfettered and isolation function as the safety valve, releasing the tension during the course of social development; the youth of the resistance types work as the critical supplement and advancement to the main trend of social culture.
