农村留守青年参与社区政治活动可以推动农村基层民主政治建设、强化社区情感以及成为现代政治人。但他们在社区政治选举、决策、管理、监督以及党团活动等层面上的参与比较被动。其主要原因在于传统习俗的排挤、政治组织支持不够、家庭阻力等。解决问题的关键在于个人提高参与信心、完善正式社会支持网络。
