从赫施解释学理论看“忠实论”和“竞赛论”

On "Rivalry Theory" and "Faithfulness Theory" from the Perspective of Hirsch's Hermeneutics Theories

"忠实论"和"竞赛论"是21世纪初中国译界一场令人瞩目的激烈争论,文章试从对20世纪客观解释学代表人物赫施的主要理论的剖析中论述"忠实论"与"竞赛论"各自的利弊以及共同面对的难题,最后提出"翻译乌托邦"的构想,建议两种论点抛弃极端,携手共进。

＂Rivalry theory＂ and ＂faithfulness theory＂ made a harsh debate at the beginning of this century which attracts much attention in the field of Chinese translation. Through the analysis on chief theories of Hirsch, representative of Objective Hermeneutics in the 20th century, this essay tries to show the advantages and disadvantages of each theory as well as the common problem they both face, and finally puts forward the hypothesis of ＂Translation Utopia＂, which suggests that the two theories advance hand in hand instead of going to extremes.
