摘要
本文是一项基于外语自主学习活动的、探讨学生对教师角色期待的实证研究报告。问卷调查结果显示,在自主学习活动中,学生对教师在咨询、鼓励、培训和教材编写上的作用尤为期待。经过访谈发现,学生感觉到自主学习能力不足、意愿或动力容易减弱和缺乏环境支持是产生这些期待的主要原因。文章建议,教师要成为学生所期待的专家和朋友,必须注重不断的自我发展,不仅要在需求分析的基础上培训学生自主学习技能,还要鼓励学生持续努力,并开发适合学生自主学习的教材。
This empirical study aims to find out students' expectations of teachers' roles in autonomous language learning project. Questionnaire survey shows that the roles of teachers that students expect most are counseling, encouraging to persevere, training and developing suitable teaching materials. Face to face interviews reveal that students think they are lacking in the ability in autonomous learning and want to be trained. They also feel that their wishes or motives are easily weakened, and they feel they need more social support. The author suggests that teachers should give students specific training in learner autonomy on the basis of needs analysis, encourage them to persevere in the whole process, and develop suitable materials which are catering to autonomous learning. Teachers also need to pay more attention to continuous self-development so as to become an expert as well as a friend to the learners.
