摘要
当人们说"高等教育学不是一门学科"时,实际上混淆了学科成立的条件和学科成熟的标准这两个问题。高等教育学符合学科成立的条件,但还没有达到学科成熟的标准,因此高等教育学目前还只是一门"应然学科"。应然学科的建设走的是以学科的外在建制来推动学科的内在建制的道路。作为应然学科的高等教育学的学科建设,需要保持坚定的学科信仰,要更加重视外在建制的建设和应用研究,并加强对学科的哲学反思。
When we say higher education is still not a discipline, we often mix up prerequisites for discipline establishment and criteria for a mature discipline. Higher education as a discipline is able to meet prerequisites for its establishment, but dosen't reach the criteria for a mature discipline, therefore so far it is only an "ought-to-be" discipline. The way an "ought-to-be" discipline should take is that we must set up outside institution first on which we can then depend to build inside institution. We are also required to hold strong faith toward discipline, emphasize applied research and construction of outside institution of discipline, strenghthen philosophical meditation upon dicipine
