文章就英语的语言文化对大学英语教学的影响及作用进行了初步探讨。由于英语教学的任务是培养在具有不同文化背景的人们之间进行交际的能力,这就要求在实施教学中必须介绍文化知识,进一步培养学生对中西文化在思维方式、价值观念、社会习俗等方面的差异的敏感性,从而促成中外文化对比在语言教学中顺利实施。

The article analyses the language＇s influence on college English teaching and its function. English teaching aims at cultivate communication ability of people of different culture backgrounds. Thus culture introduction and learning in teaching is necessary when cultivating students＇ sensibility in the thinking pattern difference, value difference, and custom difference of east culture and west culture. Cultures comparison of Chinese culture and forein culture will be successfully taught in language teaching.
