ON THE COMPUTATION OF THE VERTICAL VELOCITY AT THE TOP OF PBL IN LOW LATITUDE AREAS

摘要 提出了一个由低纬地(海)面风计算边界层顶垂直速度的方法,得到了低纬边界层顶垂直速度的一些特征。 This paper suggests a method to compute the vertical velocity at the top of PBL in low latitude areas by use of the wind data on surface (sea surface) and some characteristics of the vertical velocity are shown.The results show the important roles played by the inertial forces and β effect.
