Review Sima Qian's Literature Creation Based on the Dominant Images' Comparison during Spring and Autumn Period in Historical Records and Zuo's Contemporary

司马迁在为齐桓公、晋文公、秦穆公和楚庄王这四位春秋霸主作传的过程中,对《左传》的材料作了有意识的取舍与改造,因此也就形成了与《左传》不尽相同的霸主形象。其中蕴涵了司马迁对他们的总的评价,也表现了司马迁对历史和现实政治的态度,完成了自己内心情感的宣泄。

Sima Qian purposely added and deleted the materials from Zuo＇s Contemporary when he wrote the stories for the four emperors during the Spring and Autumn Period, which recreated the different dominant images from Zuo＇s Contemporary. His writings are embodied with the comments for the four emperors, his historical and political outlook, and his inner resentment.
