武陵地区以土家、苗、侗为主的少数民族有非常密切的互动关系,而且呈现多元文化特色。武陵民族区从民族学、人类学角度而言是富矿区,武陵民族区与民族走廊问题的研究颇富文化意蕴。因此,必须加强武陵民族区的综合研究、基础研究与应用研究。

Due to the ethnic interaction of Tujia and Miao and Dong minorities, Wuling area demonstrates pluralistic cultural characteristics. The comprehensive study, basic study and applied study should be strengthened for its rich minerals and colorful minority culture in this area.
