清代江苏无锡戏剧家、诗人顾彩访问鄂西容美土司田舜年,记下所见所闻,写成《容美纪游》。土家族学者高润身、高敬菊为之作评注,将容美古俗与现代土家族民俗作比较研究,乃土家族文化与民俗的新解读。

＂A Travel to Rongmei＂ was written by Gu Cai, a dramatist and poet of Qing Dynasty, after he had paid a visit to Chieftain Rongmei named Tian Shunnian in the Western part of Hubei province. The comparative study of the ancient customs and the modem culture is the new interpretation of the culture of Tujia Minority.
