为了从湘西州众多的油脂植物中筛选出有开发前景的生物质能源树种,我们对湘西州油脂植物进行研究和分类调查,通过大量资料调查统计,进行部分油脂成分分析研究,发现了湘西州油脂植物的特点:即分布广泛,种类丰富,含油率差异大,占全国油脂植物种类的47.64%。主要食用油如菜油及木本油料如茶油、桐油产量居全国前列。湘西州油脂植物所含脂肪酸成分共36种,具较好的理化特性,利用价值高,开发价值大。
