虎跳峡金沙劈流

Hutiao Gorge on Jinsha River

怒江、澜沧江、金沙江仿佛是飘落在青藏高原的三条哈达,曲折蜿蜒。它们顺着横断山脉,平行进入滇西北。来到石鼓镇,金沙江突然来了个"V"字形大转弯,告别了怒江和澜沧江缓缓向东北方向流去。"三江并流"因它的这一决定而就此打住,而它在中国的土地上却创造出更加灿烂的文明。虎跳峡便是它改变航道后,在玉龙雪山与哈巴雪山之间"劈"开的自然胜境。虎跳峡,这是一个被赋予了传奇色彩与被寄予了梦想的峡谷。

Just like three ribbons dancing on the Tibetan Plateau, the Nu, Lancang and Jinsha rivers zigzag through the Hengduan Mountains and into the northwest of Yunnan Province. In Shigu Town, the Jinsha River, turning abruptly to the northeast, forms a gigantic bend, the Hutiao Gorge （Tiger Leaping Gorge）, a natural attraction between the Yulong and Haba snow mountains.
