An Evaluation of the Development of a Harmonious Society in Dong-guan (1996-2005) Based on DEA Method

运用数据包络分析方法,从投入产出的角度,对东莞市社会和谐程度进行评价分析,计算东莞市1996—2005年和谐社会指数,研究样本年份规模收益,分析其中非DEA有效年份的投入产出指标,为东莞市和谐社会建设提供决策支持.

This paper makes an analysis of the degree of social harmony in Dong-guan by using the Data Envelopment Analysis（DEA） and from the angle of input and output,calculates the harmonious society indexes of Dong-guan during the 1996-2005 period,investigates the scale returns in the sample years,and makes a corresponding analysis of the input-output factors in the non-DEA years so as to provide support for the Dong-guan government’s decision-making about building a harmonious society.
