The Status of Bamboo Slips of Wenzi in the History of Studies on Laozi

“道是立天下,治天下的根本”;德、仁、义、礼于王道的意义在于它既是维护和巩固王者统治地位的基础,同时又是促使王者日日新,又日新,努力修善自己的推动力;文子的教化思想来源于老子,但其对教化作用的认识又对老子的教化思想有了新的突破。文子的辩贤论,即师宗老子的“无为”理论,又辩证地运用“无为”理论,是中国思想史上的宝贵财富。

From aspects of history and the real world, this article demonstrates that ＂King Ping＂ here was the King Ping not only of Country Chu but also of Country Zhou. This article also explains that Wenzi inherited and developed Laozi＇ s thinking from five aspects. The first is ＂natural law＂, which is the basis of establishing and managing a country. The second comprises ＂ comprehension of natural law ＂, ＂philanthropism＂, ＂agreement＂ and ＂ranking system＂, which are the preconditions of the laws of being a King. The third is the end - result of militarists＇ thinking. The fourth is the hypostasis and effect of domestication. And the fifth is the characteristics of sages. By discussing the content of the Bamboo Slips of Wenzi deeply, this article points out Wenzi＇ s importance in the development of studies on Laozi.
