On Citizens' Equal Rights to Receive Education without Discrimination

我国教育出现的城乡教育尤其是城乡义务教育资源配置严重失衡,城乡之间、地区之间的教育机会不平等,性别、身体健康方面的特别要求,均成了对公民受教育权的不平等与歧视。要改变这种状况,国家不仅要对公民有平等关切的理念,完善司法救济制度,还要大力发展经济,为公民享有平等受教育权提供物质基础。

In education of our country, there exist problems of serious imbalance of rural-urban educational resources distribution, especially in rural-urban compulsory education ; inequality of opportunities for education in urban and rural areas, as well as in different regions; and special demands in regard to genders and health. All these problems have caused inequality and discrimination for citizens＇ right to receive education. To solve this problem, the state should not only show equal concern for citizens and improve the system of judicial relief, but also develop economy vigorously to provide material foundation for citizens to enjoy equal right to receive education.
