Graphological features in a literary text constitute an important aspect of the text's style, which helps to produce certain stylistic and artistic effect and strengthens thematic meaning. In literary translation, due to the graphological expression differences between different languages and the translator's neglect or lack of appreciating ability and sensitivity towards the stylistic effect or value that is achieved by certain graphological features, the original text's style at the level of graphology is often reduced, rewritten or totally effaced. This essay mainly describes and discusses style deformations at the level of graphology and their possible causes in literary translation.
