摘要
本文通过汉语“心”和英语“heart”的语义范畴的转移比较,揭示不同语言系统中人类相似的认知过程:人们通过具体的身体经验的隐喻化去理解抽象的情感、心理、思维等,语言原始形态在不断理解和认识世界中产生新的语义。
This paper analyses the metaphorical function in the categorization of "heart" in Chinese and English, aiming to offer a case showing the close relations between the fundamental bodily experience of the cognitive agents and the cultural background in understanding the world and creating a new meaning.
