摘要
笔者对教师用英语讲授专业课课堂用语的特点进行了分析、总结。从词汇、语调、语速、篇章结构和社会文化因素等方面提出:在重视听力基础阶段基本功培养的同时,应该让学生了解用英语讲解专业课的语言特点,并将多媒体教学运用到听力教学中以提高高校高年级学生学术英语听力理解能力。
This paper discusses the characteristics of the listening process in general sense and then depicts the styles, speech rate, language features, discourse organization, and socio-cultural factors related to university lectures. It then tries to put forward suggestions on how to help Chinese students improve their academic listening comprehension.
