“别种”辨义——以西南民族为例

Slightly on Ethnological Term "Biezhong"——As Examples of the Ethnic Groups in Southwest China

"别种"是民族史研究中经常会遇到的一个词,能否对它正确理解,对判定一个民族的族属问题至关重要。它有"分出的种"、"不同的种"两个含义。前者主要体现包含关系,有的存在血缘关系;后者主要体现并列关系,但都有地缘关系和外在的相似点。

＂Biezhong＂ is a term met in ethnological research very frequently. Whether understanding exactly or not will be very important for us to differentiate and analysediscriminate ethical ascription of a folk. Two meaning ＂ divided race＂ and ＂different race ＂ are included. The first meaning incarnates in- clusive relationship and kin sometimes, the other incarnates parallel relationship, georelationship and many similarities in exterior.
