The intension of the spirit of Shifan（师范） makes unceasing progress. This paper traces the traditional intension and evolution of the spirit of Shifan（师范）, discuss it＇s main contradictions in modem times and pursuit in the present age, in order to contribute to the reform of pedagogical educational system.
