摘要
词汇维系着语音和语法,是语言的建筑基石;学好词汇,就好比建筑材料的充分准备,对以后的建筑起着铺垫的作用。作为母语,词汇的根基可以说是与生俱来;作为非母语,词汇积累对部分学习者的过程是艰苦卓绝的。因此在英语词汇教学中,不应该仅满足于教会学生大纲所要求的一定数量的词汇,还应当教会学生如何学习和记忆、扩展和使用词汇,加强对学生学习策略的指导,使他们养成良好的学习习惯,培养他们在交际中运用语言知识和语言技能的能力。
Vocabulary maintains close links between phonetics and grammar and it is the foundation of language. A goodgrasp of vocabulary is just as a well preparation for construction materials, and it plays a foreshadowing rule in the future construction. In the mother tongues, we can say the gain of words is a natural process; in the none- native languages, the accumulation of words is a hard process for some learners. Thus in the English words teaching,we should not just teach the students to grasp a certain amount of words in the prugram of instruction, but we should teach the students to learn the skills of learning, memorizing, expansion and use of words;strengthen the guidance of the learning strategies for the students ; make them form a good learning habit ; cultivate their abilities of using the language knowl- edge and skills during the course of intercommunication.
