The phase transfer chemistry of heteropolyanions was introduced from the t＇acile loss of the coordinated water molecules, the activation of inorganic small molecule and the replacement reactions of ligand. The applications of phase transfer chemistry in the oxygenation-deoxidation cycle and in synthesizing new compound were also reviewed.
