The automobile CAN （Control Area Networks） bus controller is the core communication component in automobile electrical controlling system. It enables communication among various discrete digital devices in automobile. This paper describes the analyzing and designing process for CAN controller using the thought of modern digital system design, and summarizes the thought of IP-reusing embodied in the design.
