Using the evidence of bronze casting and finishing work from the Manufacturing Standard in Qing Dynasty, this essay calls for more attention to the importance of finishing work of Shang-Zhou bronze ritual vessels which requires tremendous labour and much time. Further research on this issue is highly demanded.
