摘要
叠置原理也称组合原理,是形式语义学中求解复合成分语义的一条重要的计算原理。在形容词修饰语的研究中,原理的运用所遇到的困难是形容词的语义具有语境敏感性,形名之间逻辑关系复杂。在语义表征方面,两种基本的解决方案是将形容词处理为一个算子或者是一个带参数的谓词。在简化形名关系的同时,一个重要的动态是将逻辑规则和百科知识结合起来。这是一条扎根于数理知识的语义研究路线,在自然语言理解中具有重要影响。
As a basic method for meaning computation in Formal Semantics, the Compositionality Principle finds it difficult for the application to the research in adjectival modification, which displays the meaning shift of adjectives in different contexts and various logical relationships in combinations. Two improvements are introduced to include the treatment of adjectives as functors or indexed predicates, along with the simplification of the semantic relationships. It is worthwhile to mention Blutner' s work in connectionism as a consideration of the combination of Logic and knowledge for a better understanding. Although many issues left open, the approach in formal semantics is preferred because it advances the natural language understanding in ALP.
