IPTV services have great appeal for telecommunication operators, for that it is not only a requirement for operators to meet competition but also an opportunity to transform into converged information services providers. This article introduces the IPTV development status worldwide and in China, analyzes the problems as well as business models, then forecasts the prospect of IPTV in China.
