Economical Elites of Rural Areas in the Perspective of Social Capital

农村经济精英就是在农村中先富起来,并对当地乡村有着一定影响力的人。之所以能够成为精英,是因为他们拥有其他人所没有的"社会资本"。农村经济精英的社会资本主要通过圈子、财富、技能等途径获取的,在经济精英成长过程中,通过提供资金、技术和信息、营销网络为其带来财富的积累,并通过组建农村合作经济组织、维护农民利益、发展农村公益事业、做农民的意见领袖而发展为政治精英,实现社会资本的增值。

Economical elites of rural areas were those who became rich at first and exerted somewhat influence on local towns and villages. The reason why they could become elites was that they owned special social capital while others didn＇t. Their social capital was acquired by means of relation network, wealth and skills etc. During the course of their growth, rural economical elites realized the accumulation of wealth in ways of providing capitals, technologies, information and marketing network. Moreover, by establishing rural economic cooperation organizations, safeguarding peasants and their interests, developing rural public utilities, speaking for the peasants, rural economical elites have developed into political elites and made social capital increment in value.
