The Technical improvements in slurry HDPE plant of Yangzi Petrochemical Corporation and domestically developed technologies for slurry polymerization process have been introduced. The practical measures taken for increasing the production capacity of the slurry HDPE plant from 140kt/a to 170kt/a were described. Taking the domestically developed Yanshan Pertorchmical Corporation 's HDPE plant with capacity of 140kt/a for example , the present paper elucidated the importance of disseminating and applying the domestically developed slurry polymerization process of HDPE.
