摘要
结合功能翻译理论的三个法则和我国英语对外传播的传播目的以及目的语受众的情况,对外传播英译为达到预期效果应该采用三种基本翻译策略:文化层面异化(foreignize)处理为主;语言层面归化(domesticate)处理为主;根据读者筛选传播内容。
By combining the three basic rules of functionalist translation theory with a detailed analysis of the goal and target audience of reporting on China in English for foreign audience, a conclusion is drawn that the reporting effort, to accomplish its predicted communication effect, should adopt three major translation strategies: viz. foreignize its cultural content, domesticate its language, and tailor information to the target audience.
