摘要
《八月之光》始于并止于琳娜的流浪,乔的生活也不断被喻为路上的旅程,因此他们的生活轨迹都象征性地代表了流浪,但福克纳通过对照和对比告诉读者他们的流浪是不同的。本文从精神和功能两个方面强调了他们彼此流浪的不同。通过分析,我们也能够感知福克纳的伟大之处。
Light in August begins and ends with Lena＇s wandering and Joe＇s life is compared to a journey, so their life traces both represented wandering. However, Faulkner used contrast and comparison to show the readers that their wanderings are different. This paper analyzes their different wanderings from two perspectives of spirit and function. Through the analysis, the reader can also understand the greatness of Faulkner.
