近代陕北地区的石油工业和其他民族工业一样,难以逃脱历史的命运。尽管其发展步履维艰,效益弱微,但对陕北地区的居民在物质生活、社会意识、社会风俗方面产生了巨大的变迁。

The contemporary petroleum industry in the north of Shanxi province, like other national industries was hard to escape its historical fate. Though in a slow step and with poor effect, the industry had made great changes in material life, social conception, social customs of the habitants in the north of Shanxi province.
