Along with the appearance and application of new wireless communication technologies, it has become a research and de- velopment hotspot to introduce an advanced wireless communication technologies into power automation system. This article intro- duces the structure and networking methods of GPRS-based communication platform system, and puts forward some measures to improve security and reliability when the system is applied to power automation system.
