Building a Harmonious Hubei by Narrowing the Income Differences between Urban and Rural Areas

消费环境包括自然环境和社会环境等几个方面的内容,其中社会环境中经济环境又是影响消费环境的重要因素,城乡收入差距较大是影响我国目前构建和谐的消费环境的重要因素,它也是我国实现全面建设小康社会目标的一大障碍。缩小城乡收入差距已成社会各界人士的共同呼声。湖北省地处我国中部腹地,是实施"中部崛起"战略的重要战场,缩小湖北城乡居民收入差距,对促进地方经济发展,构建和谐社会,实现"中部崛起"的战略目标,无疑具有十分重要的意义。文章从湖北改革开放以来,湖北城乡居民收入差距的变化情况分析入手,客观描述了城乡居民收入差距演变的趋势,对形成收入差距的原因作了剖析,并提出了相应的措施。

The consumption environment includes the natural environment and the social environment, of which the economic environment in the social environment is a key influential factor on the consumption environment. Since the considerable income difference between town and country is a key factor impacting the construction of a harmonious environment in our country as well as a barrier to the goal of building a welloff society in an all-round manner, narrowing the income differences in this regard has become a common appeal of people from all social walks. As Hubei Province, situated in the hinterland of central China, is an important strategic point for implementing the strategy of “prospering economy in central China”, narrowing the income differences between town and country in Hubei is undoubtedly of great significance for promoting regional economic development, building a harmonious society and for realizing the strategic goal of “prospering economy in central China”. By analyzing the changes in income differences between town and country in Hubei since the reform and the opening to the outside world, this paper objectively outlines the evolution trend of the income differences between town and country, probes into the causes for the difference and puts forward some measures to be taken nowadays.
