The translation of Buddhist scriptures became the most important the moment the Mongolians in the Yuan Dynasty accepted Tibetan Buddhism. In the late sixteenth century, Tibetan Buddhism once again was spread into the Mongolian area and the tradition was inherited and developed in the periods of Anda Khan and Lindan Khan. The translation of Indian and Tibetan Buddhist scriptures into the Mongolian language enriched Mongolians' spiritual life and greatly propelled the education and culture development of the Mongolian nationality. Buddhist culture constitutes the most important part of overall Mongolian culture. In the meantime, the translation of Buddhist scriptures made contributions of great international significance to the deeper research on Buddhism and the reservation of Indian and Tibetan culture.
