This paper reports the standards for microscopic quantitative analysis of Rhizoma Coptidis. By comparing the microscopic quantitative analysis with spectrophotometry, the content of Rhizoma Coptidis in Xianglian Pills has been determined and the accuracy of this method confirmed.
