Using Sign Language to Make Emotional Connect

见到丁颖的时候，她修长的身材．挺拔的气质，很明显地感觉到她的舞蹈出身，她开朗的性格．一下子就消除了与她的距离感。看到她，我想到了《千手观音》的手语指挥王晶，作为济南市残疾人艺术团的副团长．丁颖扮演着和王晶差不多的角色．都是用手在和聋哑人交流音乐、舞蹈。

In 1998, Ding Ying, who majored in dancing, was admitted to work in Jinan Physically Challenged Persons Association. The association needed a sign language hostess with good appearance and temperament for a news presentation on Jinan Television Station. Ding Ying was chosen as the most suitable person. Both the sign language and the work as a hostess were strange to Ding Ying. She was determined to study from the start. At the beginning, she was afraid to make mistakes. So she practiced every word of the sign language according to the books, and performed the actions sentence by sentence in front of a mirror. In a short time, she made her debut on the television.
